Hello, welcome to my website.
My name is Remco and I'm a freelance (web)designer. I first started designing in 2004, where I took it upon myself to create our gaming clan a site of our own. Since then my passion for design has grown. I have 2 years of graphics school experience but due to some factors in life I was unable to continue that road. However, this has not stopped me from moving on and gaining knowledge. Almost everything I know about creating and coding is self-thought and I still learn every day.
I have a broad range of interests. I enjoy several types of art and artstyles. This is one of the reasons why I've thrown myself in the world of photography. I don't have alot of time to take the camera out these days but when the weather is good and the urge is large you will see me outside taking shots.
Currently I am also messing around with the editing of videos. Cutting up clips, adding sounds and creating effects. One of the things I would still like to gain some knowledge in is 3D programs. There are so many programs to use and abuse that sometimes I just don't know what to learn next anymore. One thing is for sure, I will try to do as many as I can.

Projects
In the past few years I've been occupied with several projects. Starting off on some design forums I quickly got involved into the management part of sites and forums. I have been part of staff teams on several design orientated websites. Most of wich do not excist anymore. Together with some friends with the same interests we've set up some sites ourselves. The websites in question, Digital-Industry.net and WhoredCanvas.net, were both design orientated and mainly aimed as a social learning community where you could showcase your work, get related feedback and improve your skills.
My latest staff position has been with ClanTemplates.com as template staff and chief of templates. This website is a game and design orientated site wich provides free gaming templates for clans and squads all around the world. My position involved designing layouts for new and popular games and lateron direct the team that designs and codes these templates, allthough being chief was only for a brief period of time. ClanTemplates still provides free templates to this day but i have resigned my staff position.
